Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Katavi National Park airstrip. Transfer to your camp or lodge. Afternoon game drive focusing on large herds of buffalo and elephants along the Katuma River. Overnight at Katavi camp/lodge.
Day 2: Full day game drives in the park’s remote wilderness. Explore floodplains and miombo woodlands, watching hippos, crocodiles, lions, and diverse bird species. Overnight at Katavi camp/lodge.
Day 3: Morning walking safari to experience the park on foot, tracking wildlife and learning about the flora. Afternoon boat safari on the Katuma River. Overnight at Katavi camp/lodge.
Day 4: Another full day game drive with opportunities for photography and wildlife observation in less visited areas. Overnight at Katavi camp/lodge.
Day 5: Morning game drive or birdwatching before transfer to Katavi airstrip for your onward flight. End of safari.
